Travel, Milestones, & Santa. Oh My!

I know I sound like a broken record, but I really do have so much to blog about and I keep falling behind! Thank you to all of the loyal readers out there that seem to somehow find my life interesting. I personally think I have the best life one could ask for, but I never thought others would find reading about it fun. As promised, I'd like to post a few pictures of Caleb as he traveled away from home for the first time. He's stayed overnight at Nana and Papa's house, Grandmommy and Granddaddy's house, at hotels, and even made it all the way to Orange Park, FL for the wedding of one of my best friends, Amelia. Here are a few pictures to document each of these travels.

Caleb's First Hotel Stay (somewhere south of Atlanta)

Continuing on our Journey to Orange Park

Meeting Auntie Morgan & the Gang for the first time. From left to right: Alex, Addison, Jackson, Caleb, and Mason. This picture doesn't do our visit justice. We had so much fun visiting the kiddos for the first time. They were so cute playing with each other. It has been years since I've been able to visit with Morgan and Jeremy. The last time I saw Morgan was when she got married.........yeah, it's been a while. Needless to say, I really enjoyed our visit. We always pick up right where we left off. Although our lives have changed so much since we were teenagers, our friendship has always remained strong. As I left her house for the last time before heading home, I cried my eyes out. There's just something about living so far from your best friend and having so much change in so little time. Maybe one day we can live closer.

Since I was in Amelia's wedding, I neglected to get any pictures of Caleb with Amelia, but here's few shots of the event.

Mr. & Mrs Justin Cook (well, not quite. It was at the rehearsal dinner)

Us at the rehearsal dinner. Caleb was so tired! Everyone was impressed how I could eat a salad, dinner and dessert with one hand.

Wedding Day!

Well, that kind of wraps up the first of Caleb's big travels and now to show you some pictures of a few milestones. Caleb experienced his first Thanksgiving and he got to eat his own version of a turkey dinner; turkey/apple/cranberry dinner. I know that Caleb is turning 9 months old here in.......5 days, but here's a few of his 8 month photos!

Four Generations
I know we're used to taking Caleb's monthly pictures in our chair at our home, but 11-26-10 (8 months) fell the day after Thanksgiving and we were still visiting Nana and Papa, so we took the pictures at their place.

A cute picture of Aunt Jenny & Uncle James, one of Caleb's big blue eyes (and eyelashes I would kill for), along with a funny one of Caleb making funny faces with Daddy.

Last, but not least, SANTA! Caleb got his picture taken with Mr. & Mrs. Clause on 11-27. Here's a few shots of the cute event.

There's so much more that's happened over the past few months and despite my attempt to somewhat catch you up, there's just no way words can describe the joy I experience on a daily basis being a mom to the best boy in the world and wife to the greatest husband. My only complaint is that it's moving by too fast. Enjoy every moment.

On 11-26-10 we said goodbye to Chloe. She would have been 11 on 2-15-11. She'll always have a special place in our hearts. We were all able to be with her in the last moments. Love you Chloe Moon.
